She is clothed in strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.
~Proverbs 31:25~

Tuesday, May 8th marked the beginning of something extraordinary for women in the city of Omaha.  City Girl was a night of celebrating women and who they are in God’s eyes.  There were vendors, donuts, lemonade, jewelry, wall decor and so much more!  (And if you didn’t get a chance to see it, the donuts were hanging on a wall!  It was…a wall full of donuts…..delicious donuts….  Let’s just say they were enjoyed by many.)  In addition to all these wonderful things, there were wonderful women filling the entire building.  They brought their smiles, laughter and excitement to hear what God had in store for every single one of them.  His presence was felt throughout the entire building.  From the worship to the message, He showed up and blessed every woman in the room.

Who does He say I am?

Pastor Angela opened up her message with this main statement.  Who does He say I am?  She continued with the story of the prodigal son and how relevant this story is to every woman’s life.  There is a time in our lives where we decide that we know better than God.  We think that he doesn’t know our lives or what we’re going through, but fail to realize that He knows EVERYTHING and is EVERYWHERE.  Just like the prodigal son, we come running back to Him and what does He do?  Does he scold us and tell us we’ve been bad children?  No!  He’s standing outside waiting for us to come back.  He’s keeping a lookout to see if he can see us coming down the road.  And when He sees us, He comes running filled with joy that we’ve returned.  He gives us the biggest embrace and says how thankful He is that we’re home.  And then the celebration begins.  He has restored us to the person we were always meant to be.  We have been saved.  We are home.

This theme resonated through the entire night.  From the worship to the message to just hanging out with all the beautiful women, everyone had an opportunity to discover who they were becoming in Christ and that He has given us the authority of the King. The task now is to take it into the world to bless others and help them encounter the love of Christ.  God has blessed each woman to change the destiny of the future.  We have the ability to laugh without fear of the future.  It’s up to us to use the shoes God has given us to take His message to the world.

From the delicious food and drinks to the awesome merchandise, the night was truly a success.  God opened up many doors and filled everyone with love and inspiration.  Inspiration to impact other women and show them true love.  Everyone’s already asking when is the next event?  Well ladies, the next event is Tuesday, September 11th.  Make sure not to miss this one because it’s going to be epic!

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ~Ephesians 2:10~
