GOD'S PLAN:THINKING FOR A CHANGE

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Patterns exist where there is life. They give us organization and help develop a purpose for our life. They reveal purpose and purpose points to a designer. Patterns are God’s way of saying that everything was created with purposeful intent. City planners take great care in forming and creating thriving cities, how much more does the Creator of the universe care about what He creates. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Dr. Caroline Leaf makes an interesting point about this verse, “A cell in your brain and a cell in your kidney contain the exact same DNA. While in utero, the developing cells differentiate into either a brain cell or a kidney cell only when crucial epigenetic processes turn the right genes on or off. So, God has designed perfectly timed epigenetic signals to switch on in the womb as the baby is developing.” You were designed by a pattern. The pattern is unchanging, how we use it can be changed.

God has built you with a pattern and by using these patterns correctly here is what you will find in your life. You will develop through your design straight into your destiny. That is God’s plan for your life, destiny developed through your design. Destiny is not a destination, it is a choice to chase the God given plan for your life. We are co-creators of our destiny alongside God. We get to choose to let him lead and say that his thoughts are greater than your own. God wants you to be the kind of person who understands the way he made you so effectively that you feel like destiny is following you, not the other way around. Some people chase destiny and others have destiny chase them.

Everything starts with a thought. In fact, if God is going to do something new in your life it is going to start as a new thought. That is what God speaking to us is, it is a new inspirational thought that we are aware of. You can sense that it is a God thought and they are the foundation of all that we create. If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought. Thoughts lead to imagination which leads to vision which in turn leads to a plan and plans breed action. If you want to find great victory it will start with your thought life. Satan can use this process to come at you with a thousand negative thoughts, you only have to remember that those have no power unless you give them power.

“What you think every moment of every day becomes physical reality in your brain and body, which affects your optimal mental and physical health. These thoughts collectively form your attitude, which is your state of mind, and it’s your attitude and not your DNA that determines much of the quality of your life. The process of thinking and choosing is the most powerful thing in the universe after God, and it is a phenomenal gift from God to be treasured and used properly.” -Dr. Caroline Leaf

Thoughts are driven by experience and we usually filter them by asking ourselves the following three questions; 1. Is it personal? 2. Is this pervasive? 3. Is this how it will always be? New things are intimidating because of how we filter them through our thoughts, if it doesn’t go well what does that say about me? Half of your fears come from that train of thought right there. Could it be that we keep stepping out in faith into all that God has for us and because we don’t know how to think the devil will say “keep on stepping out and I will get you every time.” The devil is using your design to hijack your destiny. Ground your identity in what God says about you not in what you allow the devil to say about you. Speak truth and positivity into your life. Train yourself to borrow a thought that is higher than yours. Can you imagine how your imagination would be if you believed that?

Now is not the time to sit back and wait to be happy and healthy. You don’t need new thoughts you need God thoughts. Go confidently towards the plan God has for you and use it to its fullest potential in the way God created it to be used.
