“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. . . and God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

                                                                                                                  Genesis 1:1-3

What was the original intent of God creating the Earth? God intended for us to bring light into dark places. Humanity chose to step into the darkness, but God has called us to the light. God, before we ever fell into darkness, had a plan and he wants you to know what that plan is. His plan is light. “For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son. . .” John 3:16. God sent His light to take our place. Jesus took what we deserve so that we could take what he deserved. That means that you don’t have to try and be good enough, you already are. You don’t have to perform, you are already victorious. His life was a declaration that whatever you are walking though he will walk through it all with us. Jesus came and walked among us on a mission to bring light back to a dark planet. That isn’t the only reason he came, he also came because he wanted the light to live on the inside of us. For at just the right moment came the light out of darkness that still shines.

“Even when I run, even when I fall, even when it seems all hope is gone. Jesus I will praise you through it all.”

“Then one last breath and the father sighs. The light grows dim and begins to subside. On a lonely hill darkness dances and evil cheers. The earth grows quiet and hope disappears. Will the light shine again or is this the end? Then out of the vastness of eternal dark grows the faintest of hopes. A tiny spark. And amidst the silence a voice can be heard. ‘In the beginning was God and God was the word. In him was life and that life was the light. For all who received it, it gave them the right to be children of the day, not of the night.”

John 1:5 says “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” There is no darkness too dark for the love of God. As the enemy stoops lower, love goes higher. Your sins are wiped away. The light of Jesus is within you. No matter what you do in this life you will win because Jesus is in you. Every battle has been won and he is faithful to come. He will never leave or forsake you. You are free to live with your whole heart, your whole soul for Him. Live your life on fire, because through it all the light still shines.
