21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Day Two: Our Appetites

Today are prayer focus is on our appetites. During this time of prayer and fasting we are shifting our appetites from things that are natural to things that are supernatural. Our desire is to be hungry for more of God. David wrote these words in Psalm 63:

“God - you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts. So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last!” - Psalm 63:1-3 (MSG)

King David understood that he needs to be hungry for more of God. He has worked up an appetite for more of God’s presence in his life. Can we make that the cry of our heart, during these 21 days? That we would desire more of God in our lives and be willing to shift our appetites from the natural to the supernatural.
